Wondering what aspects to consider while selecting and styling jewellery to enhance your outfit of the day? Styling jewellery can be misleading and look dull if not set properly. Wanna know how to make the most of your latest gold jewellery designs? Sometimes the answers aren’t as obvious.

Well, this list of 7 styling ideas is gonna be life hacks for your everyday bling life.

1. Layer Rings, Necklace and Bangles to Make a Statement

Why not begin with something lighthearted? Experiment with different lengths, forms, textures, and colours when layering rings, necklaces, bangles, and even earrings to create attractive layers.

If you’re stacking necklaces, choose lengths that pull the attention up to your face. Different forms, colours, and textures are frequently effective. Read our necklace length and style guide for more information.

You can very much make an arm party with different bangles and bracelets that flash and jangle as you move. Rings can be combined, matched, and stacked in a variety of creative ways: have a look at both of our stacking rings and cocktail rings for ideas.

Simply assemble an assortment of necklaces and pendants of all lengths, textures, and styles, and put them on in various combinations to see what works. Make a mental note of your favourite combos so you can recall them later. Rinse and repeat with other jewellery types to up your layering game.

Or not, as the case may be: do what works for you and the occasion you’re dressing for.

2. Mark You Stop Sign; Know When it’s Enough

You know how it goes with too much: sometimes it’s just too much.

If you’re using layered necklaces or a statement necklace to bring attention to your face and neckline, you may not need an armful of bangles jostling for attention.

Alternatively, if you’re wearing a strong set of statement earrings, your necklace might be more understated or even absent (on the other hand, a bold pair of earrings with a matching necklace can sometimes work beautifully).

If you’ve accessorized with many things, try following Coco Chanel’s advice: “Look in the mirror before leaving the house and remove one accessory.”

3. Pay Attention to Your Earrings

Don’t you agree that it’s all too simple to lose track of your earrings?

Your earrings, on the other hand, are normally in the range of vision for anyone talking to you, therefore they are quite significant. Choose earrings that frame your face while also complementing your hair, eye colour, and skin tone.

If you have long hair, a good piece of advice is to choose a colour or metal finish that will stand out more depending on your hair colour.

4. Switch Your Earring Game Frequently

I’m guilty of this myself: it’s all too simple to wear the same set of stud earrings for weeks on end if you have pierced ears. Or perhaps you seldom ever update them.

You may easily alter your appearance by wearing a range of little stud earrings on a daily basis. Alternatively, depending on your clothing, dangling earrings might offer some shine and movement.

Digging through your jewellery collection to see what you haven’t worn in a while is a smart place to start. You may also add some diversity and interest to your jewellery collection by purchasing fresh pairs of earrings that strike your eye.

Mixing metals has been one of my favourite things to do when designing jewellery in recent years, so you’ll find a number of pieces in our online jewellery shop which have mixed metal colours, including silver pendants with gold settings, for example.

5. Explore with Mixing Metals

I never understood that mixing various metal colours was formerly considered a fashion sin because I adore them all.

But, thankfully, even according to the fashion police, this is no longer the case: there’s no need to cling to all silver, gold, or rose gold jewellery.

To add bright intrigue and colour to your clothing, consider necklaces with pendants that contrast with the colour of the chain they are linked to, rings that blend multiple metal colours or stacked necklaces or bangles in different metals.

In recent years, mixing metals has been one of my favourite things to do while making jewellery, so you’ll see what I mean.

6. Accessories to Complement Your Clothing

This sounds straightforward enough, doesn’t it? But I know myself that it doesn’t always happen.

Before you starts dressing have a think about what item you most want to wear to wherever you’re going.

You might decide you really want to wear a specific piece of jewellery to an outing, in which case you should choose your clothing and other accessories to work with it. Otherwise, you might pick the outfit first and then match the jewellery and accessories to it.

Either way works. If you’ve spent some time getting the combination right you should look stylish and well put together.

7. Decide the Focus of Your Overall Outfit

While getting ready, consider this question: what do you want your outfit’s focal point to be?

With the correct jewellery and accessories, simple — even dull — clothing can almost always be converted into something extraordinary. You may pick statement jewellery to bring a plain outfit to life, or you can mix and match your jewellery for a more layered style.
